The Grief Map: ADEC Framework & EMDR Integration — Founding Cohort 1 Pilot Study
Date: May 21 – July 16, 2026
Session 1: May 21, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM MST
Session 2: July 16, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM MST
This six-hour continuing education series is structured as a two-part training with an 8-week clinical application window between sessions. Session 1 introduces the Grief Map framework, the Dimensional Grief Scan, and the Adaptive Yearning Model. Participants then have 8 weeks to apply the Dimensional Scan to at least one current case before Session 2. Session 2 begins with that applied case as the working material — participants build the Grief Target Network from their own clinical data before moving into the relational field, polyvagal foundation, and self-of-therapist content.
The Grief Map integrates three instruments that grief therapy has long kept separate: EMDR therapy's eight-phase protocol, the ADEC body of knowledge, and the Adaptive Yearning Model (AYM). Participants develop proficiency in dimensional grief assessment using the Dimensional Grief Scan, target sequencing using the Grief Target Network, AYM-informed PGD diagnostic decision-making, the "Dimensionally Matched Interweave" as a processing tool, and the relational field — including the "Two-Brain Room," "Neuroceptive Encounter," and the clinician's own regulatory state as a clinical variable.
The Grief Map System
This training introduces a three-layer architecture:
The Grief Domain: Identifying the specific territory of the loss
The Dimensional Lens: Identifying which contextual forces are load-bearing
The Processing Arc: Locating the work within the eight phases of EMDR
Participants will learn to build a Grief Target Network, utilizing the Dimensional Scan as a clinical tool for:
Phase 1 (Intake)
Phase 3 (Assessment)
Phase 8 (Reevaluation)
The curriculum also addresses the relational dimension through:
The "Two-Brain Room" (polyvagal co-regulation)
The "Dialogical Encounter"
Prerequisite
Completion of an EMDRIA-approved EMDR basic training is required.
SECTION 1: Mandatory Attendance & CE Credit (NBCC-Governed)
Continuing Education (CE) credit for this activity is governed exclusively by NBCC policy. Rewired360 is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 7491). CE credit is awarded independently from the live training and requires completion of all associated requirements.
